About Zelda Alford
Zelda Angela Betti Alford, 78 was born December 16, 1929 in Stockton, CA and passed away, September 24, 2008. Mrs. Alford was a lifetime Stockton resident and worked for over 30 years as a medical secretary. She was a founding member of the Widowed Persons Association of California. Zelda was an avid reader, loved crafts and thoroughly enjoyed cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Renato Betti and Josephine Betti Voyer. Beloved wife of the late J.H. Alford. Devoted mother of Susan Mason (Tom), Tony Garcia (Barbara), Jo Anne Garcia-Jones (Barry) and stepson, R.J. Alford. Loving grandmother of Stacy Rogers, Matthew Mason, Christy Garcia-Jaynes, Janelle Lopez and great grandchildren, Keileigh Alford and Christina Rogers. Dear sister of Diana (Jack) Gauthier and loving niece of Albert Santini and Dena Pirosko. Aunt of John Gauthier and the late David Gauthier. Family and friends are invited to attend a Rosary Service, Sunday, September 28, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA. A Graveside Service will be held, Monday, September 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, Stockton, CA. There will be visitation at DeYoung's, Saturday, September 27, 2008, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Family suggests memorial contributions in Zelda's memory be made to Catholic Charities, 1106 N.
