Zane Jacks

BEVERLY ZANE JACKS October 31, 1956 - January 28, 2021 Every night she prayed to fall asleep in her bed and wake up in Paradise. She finally did. Beverly Zane Carter Jacks, born October 31, 1956 at Fayette Memorial Hospital, Washington Court House, Ohio, met her Savior, Jesus Christ, while in the care of her loving family and Hospice of Dayton. She will meet her father, Herb Carter; husband, Mike Jacks and a host of relatives and friends. Loving her dearly, missing her greatly and awaiting a reunion with Zane are daughter, Lindsay Jacks; son, Kirk Jacks; mother, Beverly Carter; mother-in-law, Betty Jacks and sister-in-love, Virginia Stan. Zane will also be missed by special friend, Casey Whitaker, her Transformation Christian Church Family and many dear family members and friends. Not understanding why they don’t have a lap to sit on are her beloved pets: Karman, Kapo and Bella. Zane said, “My kids are what I am most proud of. My Lindsay Zane has turned out smart, sweet, beautiful and has a tremendous will to persevere. She has shown compassion these last few years to take palliative care of me. Her sense of humor, which she inherited from her father, has sustained me during some dark times.” “My ever so independent and smart son, Kirk, still has the ability to turn the wrong right and the upside down right side- up. He is definitely his mother’s son in that less words always say more. He always was and always will be my favorite son.” Zane graduated from Greeneview High School in 1975 and attended Cincinnati Christian University. Zane was a very talented quilter and so enjoyed flowers, (mostly pink!) ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) symptoms began February 2017 and through the remaining years of her life, robbed her from enjoyed her hobbies. By December 2017, Zane was in a wheelchair, unable to lift a finger. She wore many hats during her lifetime working and serving others: dear daughter, loving wife caregiver, great mother and most importantly a Christian, she made trips to Haiti. Her most recent employment was at Wright State University, College of Nursing and Health. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday February 03, 2021 at Silvercreek II Cemetery in Jamestown. Due to VCovid-19 pandemic restrictions, social distancing and masks are required. Thank you doesn’t say enough about her Hospice team’s attentiveness and care. Zane lived beyond medical expectations, giving us time to make memories. However, the coming days will be challenging for many.
