About Zachary Zapp
CROSS PLAINS/ MADISON - Zachary Zapp, age 21, died on Sunday, May 27, 2007. He was born in Madison on Oct. 19, 1985, to E. Ben Zapp and LeAnn M. Sowl. Zac received his GED and was obtaining his certification in marine mechanics. He was employed at Boat Doctor in Monona. He married the love of his life and "his cupcake," Samantha A. Kraemer, on April 6, 2007, in Madison. Together, they are expecting a baby. In spite of his struggles, Zac was a creative, introspective and sensitive person. He was an avid outdoors-person and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. Zac loved to tinker and, if given the opportunity, he tried to fix anything mechanical. Zac valued Samee, family and his close circle of friends. He is survived by his wife, Samee; their expected child; his mother, LeAnn (Todd Whalen) Endres of Verona; his father, E. Ben (Stephanie) Zapp of Sauk City; three sisters, Carissa Zapp of Verona, Kaitlyn Field of Mount Horeb, and Meghan Zapp of Sauk City; two brothers, Alexander Field of Mount Horeb, and Jacob Zapp of Sauk City; a stepbrother, Garrett Zech of Sauk City; his grandparents, Judy (Clair Tofte) Behnke, Charles (Bonnie) Sowl and Barbara Zapp; a great-grandmother, Violet Christensen; his mother- and father-in-law, Patti Kraemer and H. Butch Hanson of Madison; an aunt, Melissa (Ryan) Salis; uncle, David (Stella) Sowl; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; and his special grandparents, Rex and Margie Salis. Funeral Services were held Saturday, June 2, 2007, at ELLESTAD FUNERAL HOME, Mount Horeb.
