About Zachary Chahid
Zachary Rashad Chahid, 24, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, December 4, 2016. Zachary, a native of Greenville, NC was a 2010 graduate of J. H. Rose High School and attended East Carolina University. Like his father and brother, Zach was an avid soccer player and held a passion for all sports. He was happiest while playing soccer with his father, family, friends and teammates on every soccer team he was a part of. Zachary was a certified referee for local soccer games. He held a world of knowledge in sports which he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends while watching televised games. Zachary’s favorite sport and passion was soccer. He also enjoyed chemistry and mathematics and used this knowledge to tutor both friends and family. Zachary will be remembered for caring about others and putting them before himself. We will always remember his sensitive and caring personality, his beautiful smile and his ability to make people laugh without even trying. These traits enabled him to make friends anywhere he went. He will always be in our hearts and minds and be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mhammed and Malika Chahid; and maternal grandparents, Louis and Frances Creech.
