Yolanda Robertson

Yolanda Cano Robertson was born at 6:00 o'clock on Thursday morning in Burgos, Mexico on January 24, 1924 and passed away on Sunday September 12, 2021 at 6:40 PM at her home in Montgomery County, The Woodlands, TX. The Lord blessed her with 35,662 days in which to live. (Her age is stated in days because she did not want anyone to know how old she was.) The cause of her death was a sudden but mercifully, a short illness. Yolanda finished high school and then went on to complete one year of secretarial school. She was a devout Catholic who trusted in Jesus. Yolanda was very proud of having worked for and retiring from Saks Fifth Ave store where she was the top sales associate for several years. She earned many company awards as well as numerous letters of appreciation and commendation from some very well known people and one historical person whom she served. In her later years she enjoyed her potted flowers and feeding and watching the Hummingbirds, as they passed through our area. Yolanda is preceded in death by Horace A. (Bob) Robertson, her husband of 50 years. She is also preceded in death by parents; Luisa and Jose Cano, brothers; Salvador, Roberto, Armando, and Jaime (Jaime passed away on the same date within four yours of Yolanda), sisters; Rebeca, Belia, Maria Luisa, Ernestina, granddaughter; Kelli. Yolanda is survived by her three children: Jeannie, Bill, his wife Pam, Peggy and her husband Edward, and also by her sister in law Maxine. Yolanda's living grandchildren are Wesley, Kimberly and Lauren, great grandchildren; Cole, Leah, Hope, Joshua and Caleb. Numerous great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service for Yolanda Robertson will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home in The Woodlands, TX on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 12:00pm with visitation at 11:00am prior to service. Interment will follow service at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
