About Yaldah Whitby
Y. Louise Whitby of Easton died on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Ruxton Healthcare of Denton. She was 91. Born May 13, 1916 in Trappe, MD she was the daughter of the late Clarence D. and Leona White Chance. She attended school in Easton, MD. She was a member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church in Trappe. For the majority of her life she was a seamstress at her home where she did work for Todd's creations and many friends and family. In her spare time she enjoyed singing, attending her church, being with her family and friends and fishing. Mrs. Whitby's husband, Joseph E. Whitby, Sr., whom she married November 10, 1935, died November 24, 1985. She is survived by five children; Joyce L. Yeatman, Joseph E. Whitby, Jr., Gloria D. Waters, Carolyn E. Dadds, Raymond L. Whitby, one sister; Mildred Dulin, one brother; Vernon Chance, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P. A., Easton, where friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Burial will be at Whitemarsh Cemetery, Trappe, MD. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society; P.O. Box 1306, Easton, MD 21601
