About Wilma Smith
Wilma Dale Smith, 90, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died on July 18, 2023, at Quail Ridge Living Center in Colcord, Oklahoma. She was born on March 18, 1933, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Fred Shopfner and Edith Moody Shopfner. Wilma Dale was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and chapter CE of PEO. She enjoyed hosting her friends and family, baking dish pan cookies, shopping, kittens, playing dominos, and caring for her plants. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Edgar W. Posey, DDS; her second husband, Claud Smith, Jr.; siblings, Charles Shopfner, Ayleen Ambrose, and Myrah Caton. She is survived by her children, Frank (Judith) Posey, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Steve Posey, of Arvada, Colorado, Brett (Tiffinie) Smith, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Marsha (Ken) Emanuelson, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Steve (Shirley) Smith, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma,; grandchildren, Ken Emanuelson, of Dallas, Texas, Joe (Amy) Emanuelson, of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, Ben Emanuelson, of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, Taylor (Nathan) Rogers, of Bedford, Texas, Jo (Chandee) Smith, of Branson, Missouri, Mikale (Samantha) Posey, of West Fork, Arkansas, Lyza (Durand) Youngs, of Arvada, Colorado, Heyden Smith, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Henley Smith, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; along with many beloved great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Wasson Funeral Home, with Manuel Anchondo officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery following the service.
