About Wilma Mack

Wilma Jane Mack April 21, 1936 - February 9, 2022 Wilma Jane Mack was a beloved wife, momma, granny, sister and friend during her precious 85 years of life. She was welcomed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on February 9, 2022. Wilma was born on April 21, 1936 in Dallas, Texas to two loving parents Lee and Ollie Cooper. She married the love of her life, Barnes Earl Mack on December 8, 1952. They spend 57 wonderful, devoted years together and raised their four children. Wilma lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker and worker at US Brass until her retirement. She loved to cook, and everyone was always welcomed at her table specially when she would prepare large Sunday dinners. Wilma enjoyed sharing her love through cooking. She was highly skilled in crochet and would always be making something for a loved one or neighbor. Her hands were always busy even if it was just doing her favorite thing piddling around in the yard. Wilma was an avid competitive game player of wahoo and was known to maybe cheat just a little. She was a farm girl at heart and loved her chickens, ducks, and turkeys, I dare to say as much as her own family. They brought her so much joy. Wilma was known as the Crazy Chicken Lady. Mostly, she was the most faithful and loving woman you could have ever met. She loved Jesus and everyone knew it. Jesus' grace and love just poured out of her unto others. Evening during difficult times, her faith never wavered. Her faithfulness in life has inspired generations by her example and her love for the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We know that she is rejoicing in him in heaven. Wilma is survived by her daughters, Vickie Williams of Plano, Texas, Cindy McGill and husband, Thomas of Celeste, Texas, and Karen and Leslie Wilson of Princeton; her joy which was her grandchildren, Kandas and husband, Jayson, Bobby and wife, Cortnee, Leslie, Lacey and husband, Kolby, Bejamin, and Katy; great grandchildren, Releigh, Ally, Landon, Emily, Lukas, Lizzie, Lynleigh, Camri, and Easton; sisters, Dora Faye, Carol Mills, Helen Hood, Bonnie Ball, and Reba Lea; brother, Bo Cooper; and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barnes "Bud" Mack; son, Boyd Steven Mack; brother, Charles Wayne Cooper; and sister, Linda Cooper. Out comfort is knowing she is reunited with all that have gone before her and spending time with them in a place more wonderful than the best possible earthly day here. Please join us in celebrating her life at a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022 at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Lowry Crossing, Texas. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
