He was a lifetime member of Calvary United Methodist Church which later became Good Shepherd United Methodist. He was a member of the choir and served in many church positions including board chairman. Recently, he attended Crossroads Church – Ohio Valley in Weirton. He was "Toppy" to his seven loving grandchildren: Megan Prichard and her husband, Wesley, Andrew Brown, Sara Brown, Olivia Gibas, Ella Williams, Blake Williams, and Allie Brown, as well as two great-grandchildren: Rory and Kit Prichard. He also leaves a sister, Sue Ann Conrad of Hartville, and several nieces and nephews.
