About William Howard
William "Bill" G. Howard, 83, of Willards, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at his home. Born on March 31, 1939 in Crisfield, MD, he was the son of the late Willie Pete Howard and Elizabeth Howard. Bill worked for Campbell Soup for over 31 years until they closed. In addition he was a poultry grower which he continued to do until he was 76. He served in the National Guard Reserves for 8 years. Bill was a former member of the Salisbury Moose Lodge #654. He loved playing sports in his younger years and watching them on TV as he got older, going to the casino and fishing on his boat. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and took many trips including Alaska, Hawaii and the Bahamas. William is survived by his loving wife, Maida Howard of Willards; a son, Douglas (Fawn) Howard of Berlin, MD; a daughter, Cheryl Howard of Virginia Beach, VA; a step-daughter, Julie (David) Keys of Willards, MD; a step-grandson, Dylan (Tamara) Kelly and 6 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Chloie, Callie, Cylie, Memphis, Madelynn. He will also be remembered by a brother, Donald Howard of Ocean Pines, MD; a sister, Jeanne (Dewey) Pack of SC; several nieces and nephews; a dear friend, Mike Decker and his loving canine companions, Rama and Retta. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Michael Howard, and the mother of his children, Geraldine Barnes Howard. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Willards Cemetery in Willards MD 21874. Pastor Joe Barnes and Pastor Brad Diehl will officiate. The family requests that everyone come as they are, casual attire is what Bill would have wanted.
