About William Harrison
HARRISON, 77, dies after long illness. Funeral services for William Leslie Harrison, 77, of 731 Oakwood were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Moore Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul Leake officiating. Burial was in Tomlin Cemetery. Mr. Harrison died Sunday in a local hospital after an illness of several months. A lifelong resident of Arlington, Mr. Harrison served for many terms for the Harrison School as a trustee before it was consolidated into the Arlington School District. He retired about 12 years ago as an attendant with Moore Funeral Home. He was a member of Arlington Community Church. Survivors are his wife; three sons, Herbert W. Harrison and James T. Harrison, both of Arlington, and William Joe Harrison of Colleyville; two daughters, Mrs. Lester Hamlin of Cement, Okla., and Miss Martha Harrison of Arlington; one brother, Ardie Harrison of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. C.D. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Minnie Austin, both of Arlington; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. *************** Pearl Tomlin and William Leslie Harrison were married May 30, 1915, by Reverend D.C. Sibley at his residence in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas.
