Wheeler Gracy

Wheeler Gracy, 85, of Blytheville, Arkansas, passed away from this life on February 21, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas surrounded by family. Wheeler was born in Yarbro, Arkansas to G.T. and Yettie Gracy. He was a lifelong resident of Blytheville and a member of the First Baptist Church, where he enjoyed being a greeter. Wheeler worked for 61 Implement for 25 years as a parts manager and to this day could remember part numbers. He later went to work for Terra, where he met friends who have remained a large part of his life today. He loved to tell stories, jokes, and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Brayden and Lauren. Brayden loved to play checkers with his G-daddy. Wheeler attended every baseball and softball game, along with gymnastic meets until he was no longer able. He loved watching his grandchildren participate in all sports. He was also proud of his daughter and son-in-law for always helping in time of need. Last, but not least, his main hobby was his yard. Anyone who knew him, knew his particularism of mowing and making sure each blade of grass was even. When he was awake, more than likely he was on the lawn mower or running to the grocery store for Linda. You could not have asked for a better husband than Wheeler Gracy, he cherished Linda more than life itself. You never saw Wheeler without a smile on his face, a peppermint in his pocket to hand out, and always had a kind word to say about everyone. He always tried to see the best in people and never met a stranger. His kindness, generosity, and sweet attitude touched so many lives and was a wonderful mentor. He was preceded in death by his parents. Wheeler is survived by the love of his life of 54 years, Linda Gracy of the home; daughter Michelle and Patrick Lloyd of Blytheville; grandchildren Lauren and Brayden Lloyd, and brother Tommy Gracy of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the Cobb funeral home chapel with Mr. Bill Sullivan and Dr. Ron Wilcoxson officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
