About Wendell Gullion
Wendell Ray Gullion, age 81, passed peacefully in his sleep in the early morning of August 29th, 2022. He was the fourth of six children and was born in Guntersville, Alabama. He grew up in Marshall County in the Brashier's Chapel Community and graduated from Arab High School. While in school, he played on the basketball team and sang with the FFA Quartet. In his early career, he was a flat top barber in Guntersville, Alabama. He later worked in construction before becoming an agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Company where he worked until retirement. Afterwards, he was self-employed for many years, building and remodeling houses. He loved to cook, bargain hunt, buy and sell items, and collect guns, cars, and antiques. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.D. and Lois Gullion and his brother, Gerald Gullion. He is survived by his sister, sister-in-law, brother and wife, sister and husband, and brother and wife, sons, daughter-in-law, daughter and husband, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Wendell was a beloved part of the Arab and Morgan City communities and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Funeral service was September 2, 2022 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel and Interment followed in Rescue Cemetery, Morgan City.
