About Wen Ma
Wen Yi Ma Evansville, Indiana Wen Yi Ma, 73, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital. He was born August 13, 1941, in China, Guangdong, Taishan, to the late Jun Yan Ma and Su Yun Huang. In 1983, Mr. Ma started as a chef at F's Steak House and in 1986 he opened a restaurant, the Canton Inn, in Mt. Carmel, IL. After retiring in 1996, he enjoyed watching over his grandchildren. He also continued to help his family at Ma T 888 China Bistro and at Mandarin Garden. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pei Yan (Seto) Ma; sons, "Don" Tian Z. Ma, and his wife, Ling T, and "Phillip" Tian F. Ma, and his wife, Xueying; daughter, Penny Huang, and her husband, Tommy; daughter-in-law, Jie M. Ma; grandchildren, Ken Ma, Steven Ma, Jerry Ma, Eric Ma, Alvin Ma, Carlin Huang, Susan Ma, Monica Huang, Jessica Ma, and Vicky Ma; brothers, Wen Da Ma, and his wife, Betty, Wen Yuan Ma, and Shao Wen Ma, and his wife, Xiao Cui Huang; and sister, Yi Wen Ma, and her husband, Kuang Zhuo Sheng. Funeral Services will be 8:00 AM Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
