About Virginia Haas
Virginia (Reeder) Haas, age 97, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2019, at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA. Virginia was the widow of Jack I. Haas, who preceded her in death in 2008, and she was the mother of their son, Charles Roland “Todd” Haas, who preceded them in death in 1984. Born on October 18, 1921, in Milton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Georgena Augusta (Kelly) Reeder and Charles Nelson Reeder and she was the sister of the late Edith R. Harbeson. A graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1939, Virginia was employed by Chef Boy-Ar-Dee Foods until she married. Throughout their married life, her husband’s employment required many transfers and, through all of those relocations, she and Jack were always active in their communities. They enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises all over the world. They lived a very full life and had many friends. Virginia was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, loved to play golf and was a great cook. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Haas is survived by her niece, Virginia H. Ernst, wife of Raymond C. Ernst, of Westwood, NJ, great-niece Kristen O'Neil and great-nephew Jason Ernst. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the Coventryville Cemetery, 521 Old Ridge Rd. Pottstown PA, 19465. at 12:00PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Officiating will be the Rev. Ralph Owens. Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home
