Vernon B Augustyniak

Vernon B. Augustyniak, age 82, Town of Franzen, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point, due to complications from prostate cancer. He was born November 3, 1932, in Galloway, Marathon County, Wisconsin; son of Anton and Clara (Lorbiecki) Augustyniak. After graduating from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee, he was employed as a crane operator at Maynard Steel Co., Milwaukee, eventually retiring to his river front home in the town of Franzen. He loved spending time in his garden, fishing, deer hunting, and entertaining family and friends. He cherished the loving support of his neighbors, and was always quick to share his harvest of fresh veggies, a package of recently caught fish, or a pint of canned suckers. He was devoted to his Catholic faith, and was an active member of St. Joseph's Parish, Galloway. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Ernie Augustine and Peter Augustinak, and sisters-in-law Florence (Buza) Augustine and Evelyn (Yenter) Augustinak. He is survived by one niece, Linda (Jerry) Gans, Corona, CA; and nephews Cary (Linda) Augustinak, Oak Creek, WI; Randy (Debbie) Augustinak, Land O' Lakes, WI; Peter A. Augustinak, Jr., Slinger, WI; Dane (Gilda) Augustine, Terlingua, TX; Dean (Sandy) Augustine, Eagle River, WI; Craig (Tammy) Augustine, Appleton, WI; and Kurt Augustine, Phoenix, AZ. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. Fr. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4pm until 8pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until the time of the service all at the church. There will be a Rosary Service at 7pm on Tuesday at the church.
