About Verena Niemerg
Verena M. Niemerg, 84, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at her home in Bishop Creek. Verena was born August 24, 1937 in Effingham, the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Lawrence) Cornell. She married Celestine J. "Cel" Niemerg on June 22, 1957 and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2017. Verena was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Bruce "Joe" Brackney; siblings, Gertrude Smith, Bernadette Norman, Marie Hicks, Herman Cornell, Loretta Berchtold, George Cornell, Virgil Cornell, Richard Cornell and Madonna Bushur. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bishop Creek with burial in the church cemetery.
