Vachel Palmer Greenwood Aug. 18, 1912 - Jun. 20, 1978 Vachel Palmer Greenwood, 65, of 8642 W. St. Charles Rd., Sumner Township, died at his residence at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. Funeral services will be Friday at the Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Rev. Johns Sears will officiate and burial will be in the Chapel Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Greeenwood was born August 18, 1912 in Alma, Michigan the son of Eugene and Edith (Owen) Greenwood. He married Vera Greenwood who preceded him in death on August 21, 1969. Mr. Greenwood was retired from Michigan Chemical. Surviving him are Gene Morrison of Ithaca, Richard Morrison of Alpena, Hugh Moorison of Mount Clemens, Jack Greenwood of Sumner. Valery Ramey of Lansing, Wayne of Alma, Vivian Wentworth of Sumner, Dennis of Alma, Conni Fulrman of Florida, Bonnie Middleton of Indiana; 27 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; five brothers, Howard and Roy of Ypsilanti, Gene of Flint, George of Florida, Joe of Alma; and one sister, Mrs. Florence Carman of Conn. (Morning Sun - June 22, 1978)
