The family moved to Detroit, Michigan where Burt attended St. Anthony Catholic School and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1951 where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. Burt was a member of the Knights of Columbus, active Kiwanis Club member for 35 + years including past Kiwanis Club President, an organization most dear to him and member of the Italian Club of Macomb County Michigan. Burt and his wife Andre (Nana) loved taking their annual August trip to Wisconsin via the S.S. Badger to visit their 4 grandkids where they played in water parks, worked jigsaw puzzles, watched the grandkid’s extracurricular activities and always headed north for one day to watch the Green Bay Packers in training camp (Burt’s 2nd favorite football team), tour the stadium and visit the Hall of Fame.
