About Ulin Davis
Ulin M. Davis, one of five children, was born Sept. 15, 1903, to Walter and Bernadine Davis at their farm home near Burr Oak in Jewell County, Kansas. He died Saturday, Dec. 12, at Asbury Hospital, Salina, at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 27 days. He attended the country school in Harrison Township and Burr Oak High School. A veteran of World War II, he served his country several months. He made his home with his mother on the same farm where he was born, farming with his brother, Lloyd, until their retirement in 1969. He then moved to Mankato Community Homes where he resided until his recent illness. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers. Survivors include one brother, Dallas, Salina; one sister, Verda Grietz, Beloit; and many other relatives. The funeral was Monday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m., from the Kramer Funeral Home, Mankato, with Pastor Jerry Milleson officiating. Interment was in the Shaffer Union Cemetery, Mankato.
