Ula Rae Stinson

Ula Rae Stinson, 72, of Belle Fourche died Monday, April 30, 2007 at the Dorsett Senior Rehabilitation Center in Spearfish, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chamberlain, on July 5, 1934 to Albin and Kora (Lintvedt) Lindquist. Ula grew up in the close-knit farming community of Vivian. After graduation she married Ron Stinson on Aug. 20, 1952 in Sturgis. Shortly after starting their family, Ula began attending Green's Beauty School in Rapid City, where she continued to serve as an instructor until establishing her own beauty shop in Belle Fourche. For over 40 years she was active in the St. James Lutheran Church family, teaching Sunday School, confirmation classes, singing in the choir, making quilts for church missions and often leading a women's circle for Bible Study. She loved spending time with her family and traveling with her husband Ron. She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Ron Stinson, of Spearfish; her daughter, Bonnie Driskill of Gillette, Wyo., and her son, Marty Stinson of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandsons, Jerrod Driskill and Chris Stinson; two granddaughters, Sheryl Stinson and Callie Driskill; one great-grandson, Caleb Driskill; three sisters, Arla Bisson of San Antonio, Texas, Marlene Patrick of Vivian, S.D. and Diann Beer of Sioux Falls, and two brothers, Dean Lindquist of Rapid City and Orin Lindquist of Lockport, N.Y., and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Betty Gillings and Karen Booth and a brother, Gary Lindquist. Visitation at Kline Funeral Chapel in Belle Fourche. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 5 at St. James Lutheran Church in Belle Fourche with the Rev. Jeff Otterman and the Rev. Fred Hallstrom officiating.
