Tyler James Rosvall

Tyler James Rosvall, forty-nine years old, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away April 3, 2022, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on March 5, 1973, in Evanston, Illinois, weighing nine pounds and thirteen ounces. The nurses said he was the most handsome baby boy they had ever seen and we, as very proud parents, concurred! His deep voice and determined nature were present at birth, as he threatened to leave his isolette in the hospital nursery to crawl into our room demanding "Feed me, mom!" Tyler was blessed, baptized, and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by his father, L. Craig Rosvall. He attended Highland Elementary school, American Fork Junior High, American Fork High, Dixie State College, and the University of Utah. He was an Eagle Scout and earned his Arrow of Light. He loved playing basketball- so much so that he often made baskets for both teams that were playing! He loved fishing on the Green River with his dad and brother. He loved playing golf, except when his mother would beat him! (She out fished him, too!) He was very musical, sang in school choirs, and sang and danced in the production of Fiddler on the Roof, where he was ceremoniously "bar mitzvah'd" on his thirteenth birthday, on stage by the cast members and production crew. He was the ultimate Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, and University of Utah Utes fan, and rooting for any team that would play against Duke, BYU, or Ohio State University. When he was fourteen years old, he summitted the Grand Teton (13,775 feet) in the Teton Mountain range. The park ranger said that Tyler was probably the youngest person at that time to have done a technical climb, reach that summit, and free rappel 150 feet. So grateful his climbing partner was his dad. As an adult, Tyler was an avid golfer, enjoyed lifting weights, and spending time with his friends and family. He loved to travel. His favorite destination was Europe, particularly Italy. He had a contagious laugh, a quick wit, and a great sense of humor. He was always willing to help family and friends and was protective of those he loved. Tyler married Maria Sandoval (div.) on October 20, 2000, in Newport Beach, California. They later shared two beautiful children, Brendan Craig, and Camille Marie. His greatest pleasure in life was spending time with Brendan (fifteen) and Camille (twelve). Golfing with Brendan and cheering on his baseball games brought such joy and pride. Camille had Tyler's heart, and nothing could make him melt faster than her warm, tender hugs. He admired her courage as she learned to play the saxophone and began playing basketball. He was so proud of both children and loved experiencing their growth and progress. Tyler was a true salesman and spent the last thirty years in the mortgage industry. He had extensive knowledge in real estate practices, mortgage loan financing, and underwriting/risk analysis. Having an analytic mind, he was highly adept at problem-solving- skills he honed during his thirty years working in the mortgage industry with companies such as Conti Mortgage, Expanded Mortgage Credit, Caliber Home Loans, and most recently, Cross Country Mortgage as a Production Manager. His current business partner labeled him as" brilliant and a genius at whatever he did." He will be deeply missed by many people who have worked with him. Tyler is survived by his children, Brendan C. Rosvall, and Camille M. Rosvall; his parents Dr. L. Craig Rosvall and Sharri B. Rosvall; his sister, Dana M. Smith and her son, Dyson E. Frank; his brother, Dr. Michael D. Rosvall (Amber) and their children Aubrey R. Jones (Nicholas), Jason M. Rosvall, Dylan C. Rosvall, Luke D. Rosvall. Funeral services will be held in the Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 North University Avenue, Provo, Utah 84604, on Friday, April 29, 2002, at 11 am. A viewing will be held that morning at 10 am. Following the funeral services, the interment will be in the Alpine City Cemetery, 400 North Grove Drive, Alpine, Utah 84004. Deep gratitude from Tyler's family that we can bring our son, brother, and uncle home to rest in the Alpine City Cemetery. Thank you to the numerous friends and co-workers who have loved Tyler.
