About Thomas Abbey
Thomas was the fourth of ten children born to Christopher Abbey and Mary Jane Webber Harris, both of England. He was united in marriage to Arminta Ball c. 1895 and they were the parents of five children: Florence M b. 1904 (died bef age 5), Lawrence, Dorothy, Raymond R (1912-1934) and Kenneth. Thomas was engaged in farming all his life until his retirement. He spent his remaining years with his only child in Weyauwega, WI. He was a member of the Methodist Church, enjoyed watching baseball and rocking his great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife. He was survived by his son, Kenneth, his daughter-in-law Marguerite, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------- THOMAS H. ABBEY Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cline and Henson Funeral Home in New London for Thomas Henry Abbey, 94, who died Thursday afternoon. A former resident of the city, Mr. Abbey made his home in New London with his son, Kenneth, and his family. Burial was this morning at the family plot in Greenbush.
