About Theophilus Abbott
Mr. Theo Abbott was born on December 6, 1908 to loving parents in Port of Spain, Trinidad. On Thursday morning, July 17, 2003, at 12:10 a.m., God sent his special angel from Heaven to carry Theo's spirit home. Mr Abbott was educated in the Port of Spain School System and graduated from St. Mary's Collage, Port of Spain. He moved to the United States, first in New York City and then to Charlotte, North Carolina. He owned and operated Abbotts Fashionette for over forty-four years. Theo met and married his wife of twenty-nine years, Mary B. Sturdivant. to this union was born one son, Theo Simon Abbott. Left to cherish his memory are: his loving wife, Mary S. Abbott of the home; two sons, Theo Simon Abbott of Washington, D.C. and Ray Holman of Port of Spain, Trinidad; one adopted son, Marvin Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
