About Stanley Labecki
Mr. Stanley J. Labecki, 98, of Wallingford, formerly of Meriden, passed away November 1, 2016, at Masonic Care in Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Hardwick) Labecki. Stanley was born April 25, 1918, in Springfield, Vermont, son of the late Vincent and Adelia (Zapka) Labecki, and lived in Meriden most of his life. Stanley proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He attended Cornell University and graduated from Pratt Institute in New York. Prior to his retirement, Stanley worked as an engineer at Uniroyal Chemical in Naugatuck. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Wallingford Country Club. Besides his wife of 33 years, of Wallingford, he leaves many nieces and nephews including his niece, Cheryl Trzaski and her husband, Raymond, of Wolcott, and nephews, Kevin Mooney and his wife, Michelle, and Stuart Mooney, all of California.
