About Shirley True
Shirley Ethel Masters True, age 86, of Glencoe, KY, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at her residence in Glencoe, KY. Born July 24, 1937, in Woodford County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Shirley Walker and Ethel Vera Phillips Masters. She was the widow of Glenn Allen True and was preceded in death by her siblings Gene Lloyd Masters, Mary Marjorie Walls, Nadine Opal Wallace, Grace Evelyn Yancey. Shirley was a member of Poplar Gove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Along with her husband of 64 years she operated a dairy and tobacco farm. She was an avid bargain hunter and was known for stopping at any flea market, yard sale or thrift store she would see. Shirley will be remembered as a fashion maven who had a penchant for jewelry, along with being a collector including red foxes and Louisville Pottery. Shirley also enjoyed feeding the birds around her home.
