Sharon Anne Houston

Sharon Anne Houston, 65, of Wilburton OK passed away on August 28th 2022 at her home. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2022 at Jones Harkins Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2022 at Lutie Cemetery in Wilburton, OK with Bain Durant officiating. Pallbearers are Reg Houston, Tommy Houston, Bowdy Houston, Byron Bailey-Morgan, Travis Powell, and Chasen Lance. Honorary Pallbearers are Ronnie Everidge, Chase Everidge, and Reginald Floyd Houston, Larry Mickel. Sharon was born to Elmer Lee and Helen Louise (Jones) Sarver on September 4, 1956 in Orange, Texas. On July 23, 1973 Sharon married Reginald "Bud" Houston. Together they had 3 sons Reginald Lynn Houston (Reg), Floyd Wayne Houston, and Tommy Joe Houston. Sharon enjoyed cooking for her family, traveling, and sewing. One of her most favorite things was to take a backroad in the evenings and look for a big buck. She could make a mean gumbo and if you know her you've had it. Sharon is survived by husband, Bud Houston of the home; sons, Reg Houston of the home; Tommy and wife Tiffany and 3 children Hannah, Madison, and Reginald Houston of McAlester; Chasity Houston and husband Byron Bailey-Morgan of Savanna, OK; Bowdy Houston and Kristian Jennings and 2 children Rhettly and Evy Houston of McAlester, OK; Shady Houston of McAlester OK; brothers, Art and Ronnie Sarver, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends. Sharon is preceded in death by her son Floyd Wayne Houston; sister, Velma Everidge; great nephew, Douglas Wilkett; sister-in-law, Linda Sarver; parents, Elmer and Helen Sarver; mother and father-in-law, Geneva and Floyd Houston.
