About Shao-Mu Ma
Dr. Shao-Mu Ma, died of an accident on April 4, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born in China, received his PHD in chemistry at the University of Utah. He devoted his life to research and raising his two children, who love him very much and made him proud. He was a sincere and dedicated man. He loved gardening and enjoyed the natural beauty of the world. An avid reader, he had a deep appreciation of literature and history. His life was fulfilled by his loving family, relatives and friends. Survivors: wife, Jane; daughter, Grace; and son, John. A private family service was held on Saturday, April 7, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 1990 at 12:30 p.m. in the Larkin Sunset Lawn Chapel, 2350 East 1300 South. Published in the Deseret News on April 8, 1990.
