About Sara Hoover Hay
Hay Sara J.(Hochard) Hay, 82, of Meyersdale, died April 17, 2014 at home. Born February 29, 1932 in Boynton, the daughter of the late Albert and Ida (Bowers) Hochard. Preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Hoover; second husband, William B. Hay; five brothers: Sam, Willard, Francis, Carl, and Alvin Hochard; and five sisters: Violet Hutzell, Margaret Hutzel, Betty Lindeman, Barbara Albright, and Rita Hochard. Survived by her daughter: Diane M. Saylor and husband Wayne, Meyersdale; two sons: Paul M. Hay and wife Mary, Friedens; and Larry L. Hay, Meyersdale; two granddaughters: Amanda (Saylor) Malcolm and husband Michael, Cumberland, Md.; and Mya Hay, Meyersdale; two sisters-in-law: Janet Hochard and Eleanor Hochard; and brother-in-law: Elmer Albright. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sara was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale, the Meyersdale VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Meyersdale American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Glenn Foster officiating. Interment Salisbury Cemetery.
