Sally Schlaman Sally was the daughter of James Crooks and Theresia Wegner. She had one infant sibling, a brother, who passed away at birth. Nanny loved her dog Allie, hallmark movies, the QVC, chocolate covered orange peels, and all of her family. She had a special hand in raising many of her grandchildren and was very generous. She had a way to make anyone feel welcome and always had her hair done perfectly. At the time of her passing she had recently moved to Kentucky with her grandson Jim & family and enjoyed all of her time there. She was expecting a great-great-granddaughter who will be named Sally, after her. She was born October 16, 1938 to the late James Crooks and Theresia Wegner . Devoted wife of the late Gerald R. Schlaman , beloved mother of Lori (Robert) Kopera, Vicki Andersen, Paula (Pete) Klementzos, and Teri Ursich. The best grandma to James (Jennifer) Kopera, Khristy Kopera, Anthony Kopera, Adam (Lacey) Kopera, Gerald (Whitney) Andersen, Joshua (Kelly) Andersen, Zachary Andersen, Sean Apalak, the late Eddie and Ashley Andersen , Eric (Amanda) Csalany, Kostadina (George) Gegoski, Ioannis Klementzos, Joseph Ursich Jr., and Jason Ursich. A great-grandmother to Kyle (Angelica), Alexa, Lucas, Ace, Landon, Theresia, Evelynne, Colton, Jerry, Dahlia, and Adrian. A new great-grandson and great-great grandbaby on the way. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave., Stickney, IL, and funeral services are on Friday, November 11, 2022, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a procession past the Brookfield house on Madison Ave. Burial after in Mount Auburn Cemetery followed by lunch at P.J.
