About Sally Baars
Formerly of Muskegon Mrs. Sally A. (Baars) Broersma, age 73, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008. She was born in Muskegon, MI on February 28, 1935, to Burl & Anna (Westerman) Beardsley and married Kenneth Baars and then Gerald Broersma after Kenneth's passing. Mrs. Broersma had been a Dental Assistant for Dr. Ferris Laraway and a Co-Owner of MarSals Children's Clothing Store in Ludington. She was a longtime former member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church of Muskegon and later attended Church of the Brethren in Onekama. Sally was a member of the Sweet Adelines of Manistee and the Melodiers of Ludington. She also enjoyed the beach, walking, and gardening. But foremost was always her family. Survivors include her son, Garry; daughter, Lori; step-children, Lance, Tammi, and Robin; 14 grandchildren; brother, Jack; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1st husband Kenneth, 2nd husband Gerald, and her brother "Bud". Service will be held at the Laketon Bethel Reformed Church with Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery. Published by Muskegon Chronicle on Nov. 16, 2008.
