Johnson-Williams Funeral Home Obituary Newbern, TN October 14, 2012 S. G. Coker , 93, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Dyer Nursing Home in Dyer, Tennessee. Born Thursday, October 31, 1918 in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Howard Young Coker and the late Lee Jameson Craig Coker. Mr. Coker was a very devoted Father and Grandfather who loved his family and was adored by his nieces and nephews.He was a landowner, retired employee of Forcum-Lannom and award winning farmer. Mr. Coker was a member of the Roellen Church of Christ. Funeral services for Mr. Coker will be2:00 P.M. Monday, October 15, 2012 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Parks Thurmon. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday from11:00 AM until service time at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Christine Pitt Coker of Newbern, Tennessee; two sons, Larry Coker of El Paso, Texas and Ronnie Coker of Sebring, Florida; one daughter, Sandra Young of Dyer, Tennessee and five grandchildren, Tracey Coker Reed of Dyer, Tennessee, Todd Coker of El Paso, Texas, Kyle Coker of Southaven, Mississippi, Shawn Coker of Dyer, Tennessee and Clint Young of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dana Corrine Coker; four brothers, Howard Coker, Napoleon Coker, Eddie Coker and Charles Coker,; three sisters, Jane Coker Brown, Jean Coker Sandling and Corrine Coker and a son-in-law Pete Young of Dyer, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Todd Coker, Kyle Coker, Shawn Coker, Clint Young, David Oliver and Bobby Permenter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Men of the Roellen Church of Christ.
