About Ruth Fagan
The News (Frederick, Md.) July 25, 1977 Monday Mrs. Ruth Amelia Fagan, 18 College Ave., died Sunday afternoon, July 24, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Lawrence R. (Jake) Fagan, predeceased her in 1941. She was born in Frederick, Dec. 6, 1895, a daughter of the late Daniel and Ann Falk Shearer. Mrs. Fagan was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving are one son, Lawrence E. Fagan, Frederick; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Ann Kennedy, Frederick; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Blumenauer, and Mrs. Catherine Reeder; four grandchildren, Mrs. Brenda Esterly, Mt. Pleasant, Lawrence E. Fagan Jr., Lora Kennedy and Richard Kennedy, all of Frederick; three great grandchildren, Scot Fagan, Kanda Fagan, and Christopher Esterly and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Smith, Fadeley, Keeney, and Basford Funeral Home, (formerly Etchison's), 106 E. Church St., on Tuesday, July 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, July 27, at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Francis Reinberger, her pastor will officiate.
