Mrs. Ruth (Donley) Dawson VALPARAISO -- Mrs. Ruth (Donley) Dawson, 60, of 474 Grove St., died Saturday morning in Porter Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was born May 22, 1912, in Valparaiso. She was married to Henry Donley in 1931. He died in 1963. She was married to Arnet Dawson in 1967. He survives with two sons, John and James Donley, both of Valparaiso; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Lepird of Winter Park, Fla.; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Vern Stuer of Lowell, Mrs. Leon Galbrath of South Bend, Mrs. James Purvis of Elkhart and Mrs. Charlotte Hale of South Bend; three stepsons, Elmer Dawson of Rensselaer, Arnet Dawson Jr. of Elkhart, Carl Dawson of Aurora, Ill.; eight grandchildren and 17 step-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Betty Coleman of La Paz, Mrs. Mary Zacharis of Kent, Wash., Mrs. Harold Robinson of Constantine, and Mrs. Ida Mae Montague of Valparaiso; four brothers, Ray, Harry, Frank and Richard Slagle, all of Valparaiso. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Bartholomew Funeral Home in Valparaiso, with Dr. John Sayre of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
