About Rosie Idlebird
October 28, 1920 – July 26, 2007 Mrs. Rosie Mae Taylor Idlebird, 86, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007. Mrs. Idlebird was born in Iola on October 28, 1920. Services are set for 11 a.m. Friday, August 3 at Shiloh Baptist Church. The Rev. Kris Erskine will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 2 at Jones-Washington Mortuary. Mrs. Idlebird was a stay at home wife, mother and caregiver to numerous young children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Willie Idlebird Sr.; parents; four brothers; one grandson; and two sisters. Survivors include her sons, Willie Idlebird Jr. of Bryan, Joe C. Idlebird and wife, Kathy, of Houston and Carl Idlebird and wife, Ursula, of College Station; daughters, Bobbie Peterson and husband, Paul, Annette Stephney and husband, Perry, all of Bryan, Ivy Williams and husband, Clarence, of Groton, Conn., and Maxine Ingram and husband, George, of San Antonio; one brother, John H. Taylor of Houston; and 20 grandchildren. Published in The Bryan-College Station Eagle from Aug. 2 to Aug. 3, 2007
