About Robert Facker
Son of Arnold Wilson Facker and Inez Brittingham Facker, he married Bruna Ghelardini on June 16, 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Robert Jr. (and Kathleen) of Eureka and David (and Kathy) of Germantown Hills; two brothers, Donald of Peoria and Harold (and Ann) of Bartonville; one sister, Shirley Monk of Peoria; two half brothers, Charles of Coventry, R.I., and Gary of Havana; two half sisters, Dianne Biermann of Peoria and Vickie Pratt of Havana; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepmother, Laurine Facker. A member of AMVETS Post 64, he served in the U.S. Maritime Services and the Naval Reserves. He owned and operated several service stations in the Peoria area for 30 years. He then worked for ROHN Industries, retiring as a mechanic in 1982. He then worked in the Pro Shop at Detweiller Golf Course for 18 years.
