Rita Ann McReynolds Cooper Cedar Bluff, Virginia October 3, 1953 - August 2, 2023 Rita Ann McReynolds Cooper, 69, of Richlands, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. She was born on October 3, 1953, in Richlands, Virginia, to the late Dot and Grace Brown McReynolds. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine and Darlene and seven brothers, Walt, Eddie, Jimmy, J.D., Bill, Ted and Johnny. Rita was a loving wife, mother, sister and nannie. She was a lifetime member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. She was a great animal lover and enjoyed taking Sunday car rides. Rita loved to clean the kitchen and help elderly people. Above all things she loved the Lord. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Allen Cooper; four children, Frank Lester and wife, Barbara of Pine Creek, Virginia, Melisha Keene and husband, John of Cedar Bluff, Virginia; Cindy Mullins and husband, Keith of Richlands, Virginia and David Cooper of Bluefield, Virginia; one brother, Freddie McReynolds and wife, Rita of Tazewell, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Laken, Lakeesha, Larrell, Courtnie, Carson, Regan, Colton and Brandan; eight great grandchildren; special nieces, Mavis Crisp and Sharon Thomas; many other nieces and nephews also survive. A visitation for Mrs. Cooper will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Singleton Funeral Service. Her funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday in the chapel with Ministers Julie Smith and Billy Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
