About Richard Yanko
Richard F. ‘Dick' Yanko, age 67, of Mellen, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the Saint Mary's Medical Center-Essentia Health, in Duluth, Minnesota. Dick was born on February 18, 1945, in Mellen, the son of Florian M. and Freida (Neibauer) Yanko. He graduated from Mellen High School with the class of 1963. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1963 to 1966. He and Linda J. Windt were united in marriage, in Mellen, on September 30, 1967. Dick is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Linda, of Mellen; his children: Tim, Robert and Alena and their spouses, Jewel, Kim and Chris; his precious gifts, the grandchildren, Aundrea, Matthew, Amanda, Brandon, Mykaila, Jacob, Rylie, Courtney and Kali; his sister, Margaret (Robert) Stripe; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jim. A gathering, for family and friends, will be held at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Mellen, beginning at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2012 and continuing until the hour of service. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, for Dick, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Mellen. Father Shanthi Reddy Mandapati will be the Celebrant. Interment will be private. Our Mellen Chapel has been entrusted with his memorialization although the details have not been finalized.
