About Richard Ieronimo
Richard L. Ieronimo, 62, died peacefully in his sleep Friday morning. Richard was born in Waterbury, Nov. 10, 1952, son of the late Lucas and Mary (Marino) Ieronimo. He was a graduate of Watertown High School, then continued on to Porter and Chester institute where he obtained a degree in Architectural Drafting and Design. He worked briefly in the field before spending 29 dedicated years employed with the Town of Southington as a foreman in the Water Pollution Control division. He was well respected and held in high esteem among coworkers and colleagues. He was a gifted artist, carpenter, avid golfer, and enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his two children, whom he adored, Courtney D. Ieronimo and Lucas G. Ieronimo, both of Torrington. Brother, Daniel Ieronimo and sister-in-law, Janet Ieronimo, of Woodbury. Sister, Dianne Wetmore and brother-in-law, Thomas Wetmore, both of Chester. Companion and best friend, Deb Stanley of Middletown, and former wife, Sharon E Ieronimo of Torrington.
