Rhonda Jan Harvey

Jan Harrell Harvey was born July 31, 1952 to Faye Tanner Harrell and Jones Hayward Harrell and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 23, 2023, surrounded by her family. Jan spent much of her life as a stay-at-home mother and later as a bank teller and an administrative assistant. Her passion was her family and she gave endlessly of herself to see that they were given great care. She loved spending time with her children and adored her grandchildren. She asked for very little and often gave above and beyond what she had. She was a priceless example of selfless, unconditional love and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her father, Hayward Harrell and her grandparents, Odie and Jones Harrell and Tempie and Porter Tanner. Left to cherish her memories are her fiancé, Arthur Stewart; children, Eric (Kristy) Harvey and Melissa (Travis) Clark; grandchildren, Lacy (Taylor) Gilbert, Elijah Clark, Justus Clark, and Alaiya Clark; sisters, Pam (Billy) Olson and Karen (Larry) Smith; brother, Mike (Ruby) Harrell; nieces and nephews, Jessica (Tom) Hall, Doug Olson, Jason (Amanda) Smith, Justin (Deane) Smith, Shane Harrell, and Taylor (Sally) Harrell; great nieces and nephews, Charlotte Hall, Layla, Kylie, Stella, Jolie, and Miller Smith, Ryan, Alee, Sadie, and Max Smith, Paris, Branton and Dotty Harrell. Jan's family would like to thank the family and friends who spent time visiting and praying for her. We would also like to thank the staff of Forrest General Hospital who took such good care of her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Bro. Jack Andrews officiating.
