About Regina Oakes
Regina Marie Oakes, age 17, of Roscoe, IL died Friday, April 13, 2012, as a result of an automobile accident. She was born May 30, 1994, in Rockford, IL daughter of Dwayne and Kathy (nee Woodcock) Oakes. Regina attended Hononegah High School. She was employed as a cashier at Wal-mart in Rockton. Regina had a great personality and a big heart She cared and made time for everyone. She loved music, reading, animals, her dog, Sasha, and spending time with her friends. Regina enjoyed flower gardening and had a green thumb. She was a member of the Key Club at school. Regina always looked out for the underdog. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church and Central Christian Church. Survivors include father, Dwayne Oakes of Beloit, WI; mother, Kathy (Ed Seibel) Oakes of Roscoe; uncles and aunts, Jim (Barb) Woodcock, Richard (Kim) Woodcock, Larry Woodcock, Larry (Leslie) Oakes, Bonnie (David) Davis, David (Shery) Oakes, Brian (Vicki) Oakes, Nancy Wenger and Laurie (Curt) Keltner; special cousin, Jeremy Davis; and several other cousins. Predeceased by maternal grandparents, Alice and Lyle Woodcock, and Carol Brewster; and paternal grandparents, James and Arlene Oakes. Funeral services at noon Thursday, April 19, at Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, with the Rev. Jeremy Davis officiating. Burial in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home. Published in Rockford Register Star from April 17 to April 18, 2012
