Rebecca Maakestad Obituary Cedar Rapids Gazette 23 Dec 1982 p 2 Rebecca "Becki" Joan Maakestad, 36, of 4526 Navajo Drive NE died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital following a long illness. Born Dec. 11, 1946, at Fort Dodge, Iowa, she married Wendell Maakestad Sept 28, 1968, at Humboldt. She was a school teacher in the Urbana and North Linn Community school districts and a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the Parent-Teacher-Student Association in the Cedar Rapids Community School District. She was active in civic affairs and church activities. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, at home; and her parents, of Humboldt. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Marvin Ehnen. Burial: 3 p.m. Friday at Radcliffe, Iowa, Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today. The casket will be open prior to services and closed following. Friends may donate to a memorial fund at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 3634 First Ave. NE 52402
