Raymond Ulric Robert

son of Ulric Robert and Delia Lefebvre. ---------- WINOOSKI - Raymond Ulric Robert went to be with God on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at his home. Raymond was born in Winooski on Aug. 19, 1922, and he resided there until his death, he was the son of Ulric Robert and Delia Lefebvre. He served in the European Theatre in World War II, as an anti tank gunman from 1942 to 1946. In May 1954, he married Cecile Beaulieu at St. Joseph's in Burlington, and was a lifelong member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Raymond was employed by Porters Screen Factory, The Woolen Mill, Richards Furniture Factory, and Vermont Transit. Raymond enjoyed grapes, berry picking, the occasional Schaefer, rhubarb pie, perch, donuts dipped in maple syrup, Lester Flats and Earl Scruggs, spending time with his family, walking around Winooski, fishing, and listening to Yankee baseball on the radio. Raymond is survived by Cecile, his wife of 56 years; his seven sons and their spouses, as well as a daughter, 10 grandchildren, and four great-grand- children, Alfred Robert and his wife, Valarie, their sons, Jeremy and Adam; Richard Robert and his wife, Mary, his son Joshua, and their children, Steven and Kaitlin; David Robert; James Robert and his wife, Monica, their son Keith; Bernard Robert and his wife, Judy, and his children, Liam and Renee; Michael Robert and his wife, Carol; Laurence Robert and his wife, Elizabeth, and their children, Jack and Iris; and Jean Robert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winooski. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St. in Winooski. Published in The Burlington Free Press on May 24, 2010
