About Raymond Cabandong
Raymond "Papa" Cabandong, age 81, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, left earth to be with God and his wife on February 20, 2011 with family by his side. He was born on January 23, 1930 in Baraz Rizal, Philippines. Came to California in 1968. Anyone that met "Papa" would know his sense of humor, joy, and his laugh. Nothing brought a smile to his face like being with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loved joking around with his family and tending to his garden. He was survived by Son: Rhennie Cabandong, Daughters: Ellen Marquez and Jane Anaya; Son-in-laws: Andres Marquez and John Anaya; Grandchildren: Kayla Cabandong, Michael Marquez, Joey Anaya, Eric Marquez, Josh Anaya, Jenna Anaya, Necett Cabandong, Ellysa Marquez; Great Grandchildren: J.J, Aidan, and Uriah Ponce. He will never be forgotten, he will always be in our hearts. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary. A Rosary will be held Sunday at 6:00 pm at the chapel of the Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 28, 2011 at 9:00 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Santa Maria Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, Crematory and Memory Gardens. Published in Santa Maria Times on February 25, 2011.
