About Ralph Jacks
SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Ralph Dale Jacks, 72, of Shreveport will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Rose-Neath Southside. Officiating will be Father James McLelland. Visitation will be Saturday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Jacks passed away on February 5, 2009, doing what he loved most, RVing with his wife. Mr. Jacks was born December 15, 1936 in Alexandria, LA. He was a 1956 Graduate of Fair Park High School. He attended LSU in Baton Rouge majoring in Architectural Design. He worked for Binswanger Glass for 38 years and retired in 1997. He was a member of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. Mr. Jacks enjoyed RVing, hunting, and volunteering for the Army Corps of Engineers. Mr. Jacks will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Gladys Jacks, daughter, Linda Jacks, and his sister, Dorothy Grier. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Concetta Jacks; three daughters, Cathy Dupree, Barbara Vines and husband Darrell, Brenda Prichard and husband Ben and one son, Trey Bernard and wife Kellie. He had eight grandchildren. Honoring Ralph, as pallbearers will be Trey Bernard, Ben Prichard, Warren Bernard, Tony DeYoung, Travis DeYoung and Trey Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Johnson, Don Priske, Jimmy Merritt, John Liles, Phillip Fulco and V.J. Daurat. [Published in the Shreveport Times on 2/7/2009]
