Actress, Film Director, Film Producer, Cinematographer, Screenwriter. She will be best remembered for playing the role of 'Emma Gracely' in the web series Remnant 13 (2016). She made her actual film debut playing the role of 'Rebekah' in the short science fiction "Mindfield" (2015). The film which she also directed, and wrote, explores the concept of battles within the mind. She was born one of two children as Rachel Kristyn Grant in Hampton, Virginia, to Michael Steven Grant and his wife Cara Rowland Grant on July 12, 1990. She grew up and was educated locally and was homeschooled and attended senior high school in Williamsburg, Virginia. She began her interest in acting when at a very young age she turned to write, producing, and directing, her own stories into scripts and then asked her friends if they would be a part of her cast for her films. She eventually began formally training in video production and acting when she was older. She attended and graduated from Williamsburg Christian Academy in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 2008. She also attended and graduated from the distinguished Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal & Poultry Science in 2012, and the Hillsong Leadership College in Sydney Australia, where she studied Television Production, Media, and Filmmaking in 2014. She also trained in several different types of martial arts and horseback riding. She also performed some or most of her own stunts. Besides, "Mindfield" (2015), her many other film credits as an actor, film producer, film editor, screenwriter, costume designer, cinematographer, stuntwoman, and makeup artist, include, "Apartment 10" (2015), "Hounds Of Zaroff" (2017), "The Renewing" (2017), "The Adventures Of Wonderboy" (2019), and "Here To Mars" (2020). Besides, playing the role of 'Emma Gracely' in the web series Remnant 13 (2016), she also played the roles of 'Kristie Christopher,' 'Corrie Sydney-McGallagher, and 'Jenny,' in three episodes of the comedy television series, "How To Do Things," from 2013 to 2014, which also starred Brianna Dozier and Whitney Morrow. Her last film role was playing 'Kayla Michaels' in the short action film drama, "Kaziah" (2020). The film which she also directed, wrote, and starred in tells the story of a soldier who is stranded on a dangerous foreign planet, and he must seek the help of an elusive Oracle in order to find her way back to her family. It was directed by Stefanie Butler, and also starred Briana LaChelle Lantz and Juliene Joyner. During her acting career, she also used the names Rachel Grant and Rachel Grant Schrey. She was also a blogger called 'Lionhearted Lady' who chronicled her journey fighting cancer, and as an Emergency Medical Responder and a part-time volunteer firefighter with Station 22 in Franklin, Tennessee. She passed away following a long illness in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 11, 2022, at the age of 32. She was buried in Harpeth Hills Memorial Park in Nashville, Tennessee. She was based out of and lived in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband, actor and producer Timo Schrey whom she was married to in 2015 and who she often worked with in her films. The couple had no children together.
