Priscilla Chase

Priscilla Chase, (aka Pat), went peacefully in her sleep to be with the Lord on April 27, 2023, at the age of 90. Priscilla was born in Peekskill, NY on September 27,1932 to Ralph and Ella Gordinier. She was the youngest of three girls. She married the love of her life Clifford Chase on June 20, 1954. Together they raised four girls and one boy. They were married 59 ½ years until the passing of her husband in December of 2013. She was a loving wife and cared faithfully for her husband for many years when he had Alzheimer's. Priscilla loved providing for her family with plenty of love and food. She loved to take daily walks, crochet, tend to her flower garden, play Scrabble, and watch Wheel of Fortune. Priscilla was involved with the NorCort senior citizens where she played, Bocci Ball, Bingo and cards, (Kings Corner and Pokeno) Priscilla's membership with the Van Cortlandtville Community Church began when she was a little girl attending Sunday School and where she was later married. She loved to sing in the choir, teach Sunday School, and participated in her daily Bible study group, various church committees, and the Ladies Aid. Priscilla worked for the Reader's Digest in customer service for several years before retiring in 1993. Priscilla and Cliff would enjoy traveling to Florida to visit family. Her life was filled with attending dance recitals, graduations, and parties. She was blessed by being able to celebrate with her family on her birthdays, especially her 90th at home with her family. Priscilla was predeceased by her husband Clifford, her parents, Ella and Ralph Gordinier, her sisters, Jeannette (Arthur) Balluff and Marjorie (Sheldon) Gardner and her brother Ralph Jr. and her Son-in-law, Michael Waters. Priscilla is survived by her four daughters and one son: Debborah Berry, Dawn Waters, Priscilla (PJ) Chase-Hunt (Dave), Clifford Chase and Toni Pease (Jim). Priscilla's happiest times were spent as Grandma for her 9 grandchildren, Christina, Marisa, Michael, Joseph, Joanna, Nicole, Kimberly, Alysa, Christa and her 9 great-grandchildren Noah, Vinny, Colette, Oliver, Gordon, Loki, Olivia, and Allie Mae and one more on the way, Karma.
