About Phyllis Aanestad
Phyllis Aanestad, 70, Edina, Minn., and formerly of Grafton, died Sunday, March 19, 1995, in a Minneapolis nursing home. Phyllis Freedland was born July 11, 1924, in Grafton, the daughter of John and Hazel Freedland. She graduated from Grafton High School and the Deaconess School of Nursing in Grand Forks. She worked as a registered nurse. She married Arden Aanestad in November 1947 in Grafton. They lived in Minneapolis and Fargo before moving to Edina. She is survived by her husband; daughters, Leslie Ann (Mrs. Gary) Thoreson, Wellington, New Zealand, and Jennifer Beth Aanestad, San Francisco; sons, Jonathan and Chris, both of Minneapolis; eight grandchildren; and sister, Caryl (Mrs. Stan) Simons, Drayton. Services:2 p.m. Wednesday in Washburn-McReavy, Edina Chapel. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Grafton City Cemetery. Local arrangements are with Kamrowski-Henriksen, Grafton.
