About Paula Perea
Obituary for Paula Grace Welch Perea Paula Grace Welch Perea died peacefully on November 13, 2022 surrounded by her family at her daughter's home in Marietta, Georgia. Her funeral service will be at 1 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the graveside at Thundering Springs Cemetery. She was born on her family farm in Lee County. She graduated from Camilla High School in 1947 and attended Georgia State College for Women for two years before returning to Albany. It was there she met and married her husband at the Marine Corps Logistics Base. After being stationed in various states throughout the country, in 1977 Paula and Hank returned to her hometown that was always her favorite place to be. Paula Grace is preceded in death by her husband Hank Perea, her son David Perea (Dina). She is survived by her daughter: Wanda Couch, Marietta, GA; granddaughter: Kristin Jackson (Brian), Roswell, GA; grandson: Alex Couch (Heather), Clarksville, TN; the loves of her life, her great grandchildren: Dawson Couch, Luke Couch, and Hank Jackson. She lived a life of love and grace that she shared with her family, friends, and all her dogs. We will cherish every memory. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send memorials to St. Jude's Hospital, stjude.org, or the Albany Humane Society, albanyhumane.org.
