About Patricia Faasen
Patricia VanValkenburgh, born 17 Feb 1921 in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan, After her mother died in 1923, she was raise by her Grandmother, Ray (Lane) VanValkenburgh, and then by her Aunt, Persis Marie Nichols. On 08 May 1954, Patrica married James Charles Faasen in Grand Rapids, who had been previously married to Patricia Kennedy. He was born on 15 Jan 1926 and was the son of James Henry and Florance (Slagh) Faasen. The couple lived at 1412 Cass, Grand Rapids, MI, until 1964, the year of Persis' death, when they finish work on a new home at 1724 Sherwood se, Grand Rapids. She died of heart failure in the back yard of her home on Sherwood st., while resting on the beautiful day of 25 Jun 1992, with her grand daughter, Josephine Marie Weener picking flowers for her. Her remains were cremated and buried in the last lot in the family plot in the Bowne Center Cemetery, next to her Aunt, Persis Marie Nichols.
